Taylor DeCastro

I’m a media production professional with a passion for sports storytelling, live production, and digital content creation. With hands-on experience working in live Major League Baseball broadcasts, I specialize in fast-paced, high-pressure environments where precision and creativity matter.

As a graduate from SUNY Cortland, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Media Production with a minor in Cinema Studies and Communications.

Currently, I serve as a Game Operator for Major League Baseball, where I operate advanced systems like Pitchcast and Statcast while collaborating closely with production teams during live games. This role has strengthened my ability to think quickly, communicate effectively, and contribute to seamless broadcast execution.

My background also includes extensive work in video editing, photography, and social media content creation. I’ve produced and edited content for marketing campaigns, student media, and digital platforms using tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and the Adobe Creative Suite. Whether I’m behind the camera, in the edit bay, or working on live production, I’m focused on creating content that is engaging, polished, and purposeful.

Beyond technical skills, I bring leadership and collaboration experience from my time as Vice President of Cortland State Television, where I managed productions across studio and field environments while helping shape the organization’s creative direction.

I’m especially driven by the intersection of sports, media, and storytelling, and I’m always looking for opportunities to create content that captures the energy, emotion, and culture of the game. I’m also open to freelance opportunities and private shoots, and always interested in collaborating on new creative projects.
